Hello from Nashville!

Our week in Nashville has been a busy one with so much to see plus still adjusting to living life in an RV.  Not hard but it is different.  The Country Music Hall of Fame was one of our first stops.  So interesting and we spent several hours there without taking pictures as these displays would be hard to appreciate as a photo but a wonderful museum to the country music industry.

Going to the Grand Ole Opry is a must.  Set up like the Ryman Auditorium and used for most of the Opry broadcasts.

Here is the historic circle from the Ryman that has gone through a flood to be center stage at
The Opry.

These two pictures were taken at the Opryland Hotel.  It is a huge beautiful resort with indoor gardens, restaurants, even a river with boats you can ride in!  Lovely!

President Andrew Jackson"s Home - The Hermitage
This mansion is so well preserved.  We were amazed at the wallpaper and the fact that over 90% of the home remains intact exactly as it was when the Jackson's lived there.  Beautiful!

Antique Archaeology, Nashville!  Now we have been in both stores here and in LaClare, Iowa!

The Ryman Auditorium was the beginning of gospel bluegrass music.  It started as a church and still uses its beautiful old pews and stain glass windows.  Listening to a salvation message must have been something!   We saw an amazing concert with The Gatlin Brothers, Marty Stewart, and The Booth Brothers broadcast for the Grand Ole Opry.

We ended the week with a wonderful concert at the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, TN (about an hour from where we are staying)  The Isaacs, a favorite of ours, were playing a sold out concert and we had put our names on the wait list.  We got the call two and 1/2 hours before showtime!  We made it and loved every minute.
We also got a chance to meet some very special people when we went to church today and were invited to an all church picnic with the Goodlettsville First Baptist Church.  A fun and blessed time.  Until next time!
